  You Don't Find Happiness, You Create It.      Based on Katarina Blom’s TED talk, with the title, “You Don't Find Happiness, You Create It”, I learned that it is challenging to maintain focus on the important things in life despite all the activities we are involved in, with the commitments we have, and the distractions we face. We frequently get overloaded, and our brains wander most of the time. When this occurs, it is challenging to pay attention to the positive aspects of life, and we are more tuned to the negative aspects of life.  Other than that, I also learned that our thoughts are hard to control and in order to control them, we need to create positive actions over our minds.   In my opinion, I think my grammar level is pretty average since I learned basic grammar through books, English TV shows and cartoons, and I do not think my grammar is entirely perfect yet. I still make clumsy mistakes and forget some usages of grammar. However, after learning these 12 Rules of Grammar, I now fully understand the use of proper grammar. Not only that, I also learned how to apply these basic grammar rules whenever I am writing an essay or speaking in English.  Basic grammar usage is important especially if you are communicating in English. Therefore, we must continue learning proper grammar and vocabulary in order to speak fluently and write appropriately in English.

12 Rules of Grammar

  There are 12 important rules of grammar. 1. Noun For nouns, "a/an" is used for singular nouns. If it is a plural, "s" is added at the end of the world E.g: A coin (singular) Coin s (plural) 2. Verb For verbs, "s" and "have" is used for plural. For singular, the word "has" is added however, "s" is not added. E.g: The girl has an umbrella (singular) The girls have umbrella s (plural) 3. Process B5 + P2 - B5 = usage of words such as "am", "is", "are", "was" and "were" - P2 = is present continuous tense (+ ing) E.g: The woman was (B5) wear ing (P2) a white dress. 4. Passive B5 + P4 - B5 = usage of words such as "am", "is", "are", "was" and "were" - P4 = is past tense E.g: Active sentence : Anna is baking a cake.   Marriage is no longer a top priority among youth due to changing values. Most people consider marriage as their main goal after reaching a certain age. Most people prioritize on having a family before achieving other goals in life. None of this is wrong, people have different opinions. However, I personally think that marriage is not a priority among youth these days.        First of all, the reason I say this because most of the youth these days prefer enjoying their lives rather than committing their lives to marriage. I mean, I too, would rather enjoy my life travelling to different countries instead of taking care of a child, paying bills and work a 9 to 5 job. As you can see, marriage requires a lot of commitment and responsibility. Taking care of a child may not look as easy as it seems. Dear Diary,  A terrible tragedy happened today. I decided to let my friend, Bernardeth, to babysit my daughter. I trusted her since she was my closest friend. Bernardeth decided to take my daughter for a short roadtrip. I felt a bit worried for my daughter but Bernardeth assured me that she will take good care of her. Unfortunately, along the way, a terrible accident occurred. Bernardeth's car crashed, causing the car to flip over. As soon as I heard the news, I felt my heart sunk as I was afraid that something bad would happen to my daughter. My heart shattered when I got to know that my daughter did not survive the accident. I was heartbroken that my daughter had to die in such a painful way.  I learnt that trusting people can be hard sometimes, even if it's with people that you are close with. Not only that but, I also learnt that we should always appreciate life as much as possible.  Love, Gemma

Dear Diary,  Today I realised how hard it is to be a parent. I learnt from the three important experiences just now.  First of all, when we were balancing our eggs, I learnt that parenting requires a lot of patience. In order to teach our children, parents must be patient because some children need more time to fully understand something.  Secondly, as we were rolling our eggs across the table, I learnt that parents must trust their children in order to achieve something. Although, it can be terrifying, it is still a parent's job to trust their children, Otherwise, their children will never learn to be independent.  Lastly, as we were throwing and catching our eggs, I learnt that a parent must trust and believe in their partner. Without a partner's trust, taking care of a child can be absolutely hard. Both parents play an important tole in taking care of a child.
