Today's Diary Entry (2)

Dear Diary, 

A terrible tragedy happened today. I decided to let my friend, Bernardeth, to babysit my daughter. I trusted her since she was my closest friend. Bernardeth decided to take my daughter for a short roadtrip. I felt a bit worried for my daughter but Bernardeth assured me that she will take good care of her. Unfortunately, along the way, a terrible accident occurred. Bernardeth's car crashed, causing the car to flip over. As soon as I heard the news, I felt my heart sunk as I was afraid that something bad would happen to my daughter. My heart shattered when I got to know that my daughter did not survive the accident. I was heartbroken that my daughter had to die in such a painful way. 

I learnt that trusting people can be hard sometimes, even if it's with people that you are close with. Not only that but, I also learnt that we should always appreciate life as much as possible.

Hi. Today I will be talking about how my love life started 🫶🏼 It was a gloomy day, I was walking home from work. I couldn't get a cab since it was a busy day so I decided to walk back home. The weather was a bit chilly showing that it was about to rain.  I sighed to myself as I forgot to bring my umbrella with me. I huffed and walked faster, hoping to reach home before the rain pours.  As I was walking, I felt tiny droplets of rain hitting my skin. Rain started pouring as I glanced at the sky.   You Don't Find Happiness, You Create It.      Based on Katarina Blom’s TED talk, with the title, “You Don't Find Happiness, You Create It”, I learned that it is challenging to maintain focus on the important things in life despite all the activities we are involved in, with the commitments we have, and the distractions we face. We frequently get overloaded, and our brains wander most of the time. When this occurs, it is challenging to pay attention to the positive aspects of life, and we are more tuned to the negative aspects of life.  Other than that, I also learned that our thoughts are hard to control and in order to control them, we need to create positive actions over our minds. We can enter into a positive pattern and develop the skill of happiness if we start making good healthy habits by taking acts that benefit both ourselves and others.  This talk has left an impact in me by realising that I should prioritise and value all my relationships in my life .
