My Imaginary Love Story

Hi. Today I will be talking about how my love life started 🫶🏼

It was a gloomy day, I was walking home from work. I couldn't get a cab since it was a busy day so I decided to walk back home. The weather was a bit chilly showing that it was about to rain. 

I sighed to myself as I forgot to bring my umbrella with me. I huffed and walked faster, hoping to reach home before the rain pours. 

As I was walking, I felt tiny droplets of rain hitting my skin. Rain started pouring as I glanced at the sky. Immediately, I covered my head with my bag and started running. 

It was an unlucky day for me but I had no choice but to accept my fate. 

My vision turned blurry because my eyes were filled with rain water. I couldn't see quite well due to the heavy downpour. As I was walking, I accidentally twisted my ankle due to the slippery road. 

I winced in pain as I landed on the ground, drenched in rain water. I mentally cursed myself and wondered why did I get so unlucky today. I tried my best to get up, but the pain was excruciating and unbearable. 

Out of the blue, a man with a blue umbrella appeared behind me. He was tall and looked mysterious. I was scared but he suddenly knelt down and examined my ankle. 

"You'll be fine. Come on, let me help you." The man said as he offered his hand to help me up. 

I managed to get up slowly by holding his hand. He helped me walk slowly to the nearest convenience store. He also shielded me from the rain (even though it was pointless because I was already drenched)

As soon as we reached the store, he helped me to a small bench next to the store. The man told me to wait as he wanted to get a pack of ice and some medicine from the store. 

When he came back, he immediately examined my twisted ankle. He treated it by putting medicine and placing an ice pack on it. I was so fond of his actions, even though we barely know each other.

He sat next to me as we waited for the rain to stop. We talked and got to know more about each other. It was funny since he was just a random stranger who helped me. He also assured me that he was not a kidnapper. 

A few hours passed, I felt that my ankle was feeling a bit better. All of the sudden, the rain had stop pouring, revealing a beautiful rainbow painted across the sky. I decided it was time to go home since I could walk. 

I told him that it was time for me to go home. He politely offered to pay and book a cab for me. It was really sweet of him because he did not want to send me home as I would feel uncomfortable since we both just knew each other. But, I told him that I would be comfortable with just exchanging phone numbers and he agreed to it.

When the cab arrived, he opened the door and helped me get in. He told me to take care as he shut the door slowly. I nodded and told him the same too. As the cab drove of, I watched him from the rear view mirror, he was waving cutely at me. It was truely a cute and romantic experience for someone who is not really a big fan of romance.

Months passed and we texted a couple times. We also had multiple dates together. After a year of settling and getting to know each other well, we finally decided to officially be together. 

After five years of being together, we finally made the decision to tie the knot and now, we own a comfty house and have a beautiful daughter named Claire.
